Some interesting news on Sony’s Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale from voice actor Eric Ladin has come out today. Some weeks ago the Infamous 2 voice actor tweeted that he was doing motion capture work as Cole for Battle Royale. Today he tweeted confirming his role in the game as well mentioning a few characters.
As IGN pointed out, from Eric’s tweet it looks as though Solid Snake and Nathan Drake will also be cast members in the upcoming Playstation brawler. To be specific, Ladin mentioned David Hayter and Nolan North as cast members he’s excited to work with. (more…)

Pretty much everyone knows that the Westboro Baptist Church, the family headed by rabidly anti-gay, anti-soldier, Shirley and Fred Phelps are the scum of the earth.
While rival protests continue to amass against them, it’s hard to think of another one that gets as straight to the point as one Kansas boy, who scrawled the simple message “God Hates No One” in big letters on a piece of notebook paper to protest The Phelps. (more…)

The good news: you don’t have to erase that porn just yet. The bad news is that you’ll have to explain to your wife/gf exactly what that mechanical monstrosity is that you have next to the computer. According to Digi-Pro TV, it’s the Data-Killer, made in Japan and presented at the country’s 2012 Information Security Expo.
Simply put, the DMA-15000X is a device about the size of a small television set that’s designed specifically to kill everything on your hard drive. Made by Platform of Japan, it looks kind of like a microwave, and in certain ways acts a lot like one.

Infinity Blade: Dungeons will be a departure from the series’ current formula, introducing a Diablo-style gameplay style. Like the name implies, the game will be a dungeon crawler with a focus on weapon crafting and collectibles.
This our first look at the game since it debuted live on stage during Apple’s third-generation iPad unveiling. According to IGN, who got their hands on the game (video below), “Dungeons plays beautifully,” and long time fans of the current on-rails Infinity Blade experience won’t be disappointed. (more…)

So it turns out that an iTV, iPad mini, and an office building that doubles as a luncahing pad for most extra terrestrials weren’t all that Steve Jobs wanted to go out on.
A report surfacing from an interview with J. Crew CEO and Apple Board Member Mickey Drexler states that Jobs believed Apple could own half the car market.
“Look at the car industry; it’s a tragedy in America. Who is designing the cars?…Steve’s dream before he died was to design an iCar.”
It’s become fairly well known that the automotive industry in the U.S. is dominated by cars manufactured overseas and since he beginning of the decade, the automotive (more…)

In the proverbial battle between console supremacy, Sony has made a move introducing a new feature to the Playstation Network that allows players to pre download unreleased titles. Thanks to what Sony calls its new “pre-buy” option, PSN users will now have a similar capability as the pre-loading function Steam and PC users enjoy.
Playstation 3 users will be able to purchase the title using the “pre-buy” function well ahead of their scheduled release dates. This will allow players to play the title immediately upon release. Pre-buyers can expect to be charged for the game two days prior to the title’s release. (more…)

Perhaps you’ve had an experience similar to the one this man has. If not with Diablo 3, then with Skyrim, Call of Duty or maybe even something a little less seemingly ‘diabolical’ like, uh, Minecraft…
The point is that a good video game is not unlike a really hot chick: a feast for the eyes, somewhat diabolical in its appearance; full of addicting little ‘buttons’ to push, adventures to take on, and of course rewarding reciprocation. Perhaps they’re even waiting to reap your soul for benefit. If she looks like this, we say: (more…)

It wasn’t enough that nerdcore sensation Richie Branson spearheaded an underground campaign to revive Toonami. Other fans did it their own way: the usual posts on Adult Swim messageboards/forums; maybe tweeting with AS-oriented hashtags, endless letters of complaint…pretty much everything short of picketing with signs outside Cartoon Network Headquarters.
But by releasing several odes to various anime franchises, especially Mobile Suit Gundam, Branson’s attracted the attention of Japanimation fans worldwide. And it was his plea and tribute to the long forgotten network programming which made the topic of Toonami’s resurrection an Internet-wide sensation. (more…)

Judge for yourself, but when a guy takes the time to collect every single gaming console that’s been invented over the past 25 years or so, he deserves props of some kind. Courtesy of the pseudo-macro blog comes YouTube-er 16bitghost, also a dedicated blogger, and owner of a bunch of rare gaming music CDs of all kinds.
His collection also appears to contain every handheld known to man – including a rare collection of Game Boys, and the hand-held TurboGrafx 16.There’s even all four limited edition color PS3s.

In the two weeks since Beastie Boy Adam Yauch has died, the tributes have continued to pour in — but mostly at the hands of The Beasties’ music industry peers like Coldplay, Eminem, and Ad-Rock — along with the strictly fan-made youtube compilation tributes.
But it’s James Winters’ ‘Sabotage’ video that’s getting all the attention today, and featuring a bunch of kids chasing after each other just like the original, and decked out in aviator glasses, wigs and fake mustaches. (more…)

Ever since Capcom began shelling out DLC with many of its new releases, games like Street Fighter X and Dragon’s Dogma have been inciting a string of steady complaints from fans who feel they’re getting gypped.
In light of these recent events, Capcom senior vice-president Christian Svensson issued the following press release, according to DigitalTrends:
“We’ve been getting several questions, here and elsewhere about the future of on-disc DLC.

If you’ve ever partaken in the insanity that is online dating, you know that it can be fraught with all kinds of untoward peril. The mere possibility that your date-to-be may not look anything their profile pic or may have spent their past lurking around schoolyards waiting for that bell to ring are probably two worst-case scenarios — but take stuff like that and multiply it times 1000 and it still can’t possibly compare to the one that Gao Xin had in the province of Henan, China.
After a rendezvous at a local restaurant, Xin parted with his date, only to be accosted by an unknown assailant and a bunch of his cohorts. After forcing Xin down to the ground, (more…)
